Mayor O'Leary performs marriages upon request. Under Ohio Revised Code 3101.08, the mayor of a municipal corporation can perform marriages in any county in which his municipal corporation wholly or partly lies. Residents of Crawford, Morrow, and Richland counties are eligible.
To schedule a marriage, call the Mayor's Office at 419-468-1857.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: There is no cost for the service.
Q: Where do I go for the ceremony?
A: We typically do marriages at the Mayor's Office, located at 301 Harding Way East, in the front section of the building. If you would like a different location, please let us know when you schedule your marriage and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: You must bring a marriage certificate (issued by the Probate Court in the county in which you reside) with you on the date of your wedding. You may also bring guests with you but please let us know if it will be a large group.
Q: What about pictures and video?
A: Your guests are welcome to take pictures and video if you would like them to. The mayor's staff can also take pictures as long as someone is available.
