Local Organizations Donate Two Benches for Heise Park

The North End Garden Club and Brush and Palette Art Gallery donated two new benches for Heise Park on Sept. 1.

The organizations planned a Home, Garden, and Art Tour throughout Galion that was held on June 17. They raised $227 through admissions, and proceeds from the event were to go toward city park improvements. Members of the organizations decided to purchase benches to be placed near the flower beds located on the east side of Heise Park.

The Service Department will permanently install the benches next week. The City of Galion appreciates all organizations which contribute to park improvements.
