Sealed Bids for: Big Four Depot Exterior Restoration
The proposed scope of work includes work to maintain the exterior building envelope.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be conducted on October 11th, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., local time, at the Big Four Depot located at 127 N. Washington St., Galion, Ohio.
Each entity submitting a bid must have and be able to demonstrate that such entity or its predecessor has a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in doing renovation work on historic buildings, administered and inspected by Ohio state and/or local authorities, of similar size and value as the work requested in this Invitation to Bid.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said Surety.
Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The Owner intends and requires that this project be completed by April 30th, 2019.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements within Crawford County as determined by the United States Department of Labor in accordance with Federal-Aid requirements.
The City of Galion reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine the lowest and best bidder.
