Four items of legislation passed as emergency readings during City Council’s April 25 meeting, including authorization for bidding of the Portland Way North project in an amount not to exceed $750,000. The project is a sewer line replacement and road reconstruction in the section from Heise Park Lane to Carter Drive. It will begin at the end of the school year.
Ord. 2017-19 was the annual contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation for road salt. The agreement entails the purchase of 600 tons of salt at a rate to be determined through the ODOT bidding process. Ord. 2017-20 authorized the purchase of a boom mower at a cost not to exceed $130,630.
Ord. 2017-22 authorized a grant application through the NatureWorks program. If the grant is awarded, it will help fund a restroom replacement in Heise Park.
