The Galion Cross Country Festival will be held Saturday, September 16. It is one of the largest single-day events in Galion, and the third-largest cross country meet in Ohio. The festival is held at Amann Reservoir and draws thousands of runners, coaches, and spectators.
The course is located in the section of the park north of the reservoir, and the south side of the reservoir is used for parking. Cars also park on the roadside of State Route 309/61 and County Line Road. Races begin at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day.
Drivers should expect delays in the area near the reservoir, as the event will create additional traffic on State Route 309/61 south of Galion. Avoid driving through that area if possible.
