Two intersections in town recently underwent changes which affect traffic patterns.
The traffic signals at East Church-North Columbus streets, as well as South Market-East Atwood streets, have been under consideration for removal for the past several weeks. The signals were placed on flashing to test changes in traffic patterns.
At the Church-Columbus intersection, two-way stop signs were installed on Columbus Street and traffic on Church Street will continue to flow without having to stop at that intersection.
At the Market-Atwood intersection, four-way stop signs were installed and the signal is set to flashing red.
Both signals will be removed in the coming weeks.
