City Council’s next regular meeting is April 26 at 7 p.m. Legislation on the agenda includes:
Ord. 2016-23, an amendment to the Community Reinvestment Area. In effect, this will expand the boundaries of the existing CRA to include the entire city. It will also enable residential investment.
Ord. 2016-31, an amendment to Section 529 of the Codified Ordinances. The proposed change would create two exceptions to allow the sale and consumption of alcohol on public property.
Ord. 2016-33, a change in Council Rules to restructure the committees. The new committees being proposed are: Finance; Police, Fire and Health; Utilities; Parks and Recreation; Streets, Alleys and Bridges; Laws, Ordinances, Zoning and Permits; and Economic Development and Airport.
Ord. 2016-34, authorization to apply for a Nature Works Grant. The funds would be used for a new restroom facility at South Park.
Ord. 2016-35, adopting the updated Solid Waste Management Plan. The plan was updated by the Crawford County Solid Waste Management District Policy Committee and requires ratification but the local legislative authorities.
Ord. 2016-36, an amendment to the 2016 Financial Recovery Plan.
