[ARCHIVED] Contractors Needed for Housing Repair Program

Contractors are currently being sought for Crawford County’s assistance program for home rehabilitation and repair. Needed trades include:

  • General contracting
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • ADA modifications
  • Roofing
  • Furnace replacement
  • Water tank replacement
  • Insulation
  • Siding repair
  • Structural repair

 Interested contractors may fill out an application form and submit to Great Lakes Community Action Partnership, which is administering the program. GLCAP is a northwest Ohio non-profit organization with more than 40 years of experience assisting low-income families. 

Benefits of contracting with the program include:

  • Federal funding guarantees pay for contract work.
  • GLCAP can help connect you with home repair and improvement projects in your area. 
  • You can be part of vital programming that helps improve living conditions for seniors, disabled and other individuals in need of help in our communities.

The Home Repair program is grant funded and provides home repair assistance for one or two significant problems in the home, offered at no cost to you.

The Home Rehabilitation program covers more extensive repair work on the home, and is largely grant funded and partially funded by a no-interest deferred loan that must be paid upon sale of the home or title transfer.
