Leaf collection in the city is an ongoing effort. The fleet experienced mechanical issues during the first two weeks of collection. As a result, residents may have experienced delays in the anticipated pickup schedule. The Service Department has now resumed normal collection operations and is working to get back on schedule.
City residents may continue to rake leaves into the tree lawn in front of their homes to be picked up. As a reminder, please help the collection crews to be as efficient as possible by not piling leaves in the road, over storm drains or around obstacles like utility poles. The Service Department also reserves the right to skip leaf piles that are blocked by a parked vehicle.
Yard waste such as branches and wood chips may be taken to the Taylor Road Composting Facility on Nov. 17 and 18, from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The final day for leaf collection is still anticipated to be Nov. 30.
